Tomato infectious chlorosis virus (TICV) first identified in the USA in 1993, since then the viruse have spread worldwide in all major tomato-production areas. TICV can’t be mechanically transmitted, but can be vectored by whiteflies in a semi-persistent manner. TICV has a bipartite, single-stranded and positive-sense RNA genome.
