Tomato Leaf Curly New Delhi Virus (ToLCNDV) is a member of Geminiviridae family that has single-stranded DNA genome. It causes infection in tomato, cucumber, potato, eggplant, melon, zucchini, and squash. The symptom of the virus changes due to the host strain. Common sympthoms are discoloration, chlorotic mottling and vein banding followed by upward rolling, general chlorosis of older leaves, reduced flower setting and low numbers of fruits. ToLCNDV is transmitted especially by Bemisia tabaci whiteflies that infects the plant when feeding. However, this pathogen can rarely be transmitted through wound or seeds as mechanically.
