Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (COLLGL) is a destructive fungal pathogen causing anthracnose in numerous crops including fruits, vegetables and ornamentals. The fungus produces sunken, dark lesions on leaves, stems and fruits, often with characteristic pinkish spore masses under humid conditions. Severe infections lead to premature fruit drop and significant yield losses.
