Agrobacterium tumefaciens(AGRBTU) is a plant bacteria that is the causal agent of crown gall disease. Although this bacteria is a member of Rhizobiaceae family which includes the nitrogen-fixing legume symbionts, Agrobacterium tumefaciens is highly pathogenic for plants. It makes tumour and the agriculture industry is badly affected from this bacteria. The hosts of this pathogen are walnuts, grape vines, stone fruits, nut trees, sugar beets, horse radish, and rhubarb. The perminent tumours caused by disease creates problems especially perennial crops. The pathogen could be transfered by soil or infected instruments. Symptoms of disease are restricting shoot or root growth, tumours on root.
