Cherry Green Ring Mottle Foveavirus (CGRMV0), known as Cherry Green Ring Mottle Virus, is a member of the Betaflexiviridae family, Foveavirus genus. It has a single-stranded, positive-sense RNA genome. The host of virus is several Prunus species including sweet cherry, sour cherry, ornamental cherry, peach, and apricot throughout North America and Europe. The symptoms of virus are divergent from species to species. When there are no symptoms on sweet cherry trees, the virus causes leaf yellowing and dark mottle around veins on sour cherry trees. Necrosis on leaves may be observed on some species. The mode of transmission is via graft inoculation.
