Xanthomonas campestris pv. campestris (XANTCA) is a Gram-negative, rod-shaped bacterium known for causing black rot disease in Brassica family plants, including cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower. This pathogen typically 

enters the host through hydathodes (leaf margin pores) or wounds caused by insect feeding, hail damage, or mechanical injury. It spreads via infected plant debris, contaminated seeds, rain splash, and agricultural tools. Symptoms include 

characteristic V-shaped yellow lesions with necrotic borders on leaves, blackening of veins, and ultimately extensive rot and plant death. There’s no cure; control
